A major event is coming up in Finland’s capital at the end of this month. The Helsinki New – Fashion Showcase is taking place from the 20th to the 29th of May and is going to be a one-stop destination for everyone interested in Finnish fashion design. It is aimed at everyone, from fashion professionals to the general public.
The annual event aims to promote the country’s established and emerging creatives, by organising events for international media with the Finnish brands. The Match Made in Hel event taking place on Tuesday, 24th of May, will be a perfect opportunity for buyers to connect with the Finnish labels.
The week will be an eclectic mix of fashion shows, presentations and exhibitions. They will include infamous Pre Helsinki fashion festival, Aalto University fashion seminar and the spring show organised by the university’s students as well as a textile show at the Cable Factory and a fashion exhibition by the Finnish artist Daniel Palillo at the Helsinki Design Museum.
Guests will also be able to purchase the showcased brands in the Helsinki New shop (located at the (inner courtyard at Uudenmaankatu 4–6).
